Miguel Cabrera has cemented himself as one of the game's all-time great hitters. In 2012, not only did Cabrera become the first player since 1967 to win baseball's elusive Triple Crown by leading American League in batting average (.330), home runs (44) and runs batted in (139), he was named the A.L.'s Most Valuable Player. In that same historic season, Cabrera was named the American League's Hank Aaron award winner, as well as The Sporting News' Player of the Year.
